Winter holiday on the Seiser Alm Skiing and more in a wonderful landscape
Whether you want to go skiing to Seis, rather extensive cross-country skiing or cozy winter hiking – our winter sports area has everything ready for a good winter holiday in the Dolomites. Dreamlike slopes, secluded hiking trails, well-groomed tracks can be found on the Seiser Alm and in the immediate vicinity of Seis am Schlern, together with lots of winter romance and beautiful impressions.
In harmony with the landscape On snowshoes around Seis am Schlern
Your winter holiday on the Seiser Alm enjoys a high degree of contemplation and has almost become something meditative when you stomp on snowshoes through the deep snow and recharge your batteries, while hiking away from the hustle and bustle on the slopes. You merge with the silent winter landscape in front of you, experience the world of the Dolomites from one of their most fascinating sides. Many well-prepared winter hiking trails also lead straight to cozy huts, where you can warm up with mulled wine, punch and Brettlmarende (typical snack).
The coronation of a holiday A toboggan ride on the Seiser Alm
After skiing, the fun starts! A wild toboggan run is exactly the right conclusion of a fulfilled ski-day. For a real skiing holiday in Seis you should not miss a toboggan run. All toboggan runs are connected to the ski lifts, so you do not have to heavily climb your sledge, but you can use one of our many infinitely long slopes at will. Many toboggan runs are floodlit at night – and then you can enjoy a delicious fondue in a hut in the valley.
Our Advance OfferSouth Tyrol in winter
If you choose our Seis am Schlern as your holiday destination for the next winter holiday, with the Seiser Alm and the neighboring Gröden valley you will have two wonderful ski areas directly at your doorstep. The free ski bus takes you to the Seis orbit, which is only 100 meters from our house. And to the cable car it is just ten minutes on foot. The many superbly groomed downhill runs on the largest high alpine pasture in Europe can be reached via modern 22 lifts. On the top, you will find the probably sunniest ski resort of the Dolomites. The difficulty level of its runs ranges from blue to black and offers ideal conditions for experts, ski beginners and families at a very good price-performance ratio. Even freestylers and snowboarders are just right in the right place on the Seiser Alm for a winter holiday and can prove themselves in the fun park. Away from the slopes awaits you a magnificent Dolomites panorama. The sunny terraces of the rustic huts invite you to linger and underline once more the quality of this top ski resort. Are you a ski beginner? In the Seiser Alm ski school, you can learn how to ski on site or, under the guidance of excellent instructors, refresh your abilities.
Winter holidays for connoisseurs Experiencing nature in cross-country skiing
You will especially feel the wintry peace and relaxation in Seis am Schlern aside from the slopes during cross-country skiing. 70 km of well-groomed and varied trails for classics and skaters stretch through our region. The most beautiful ones run through the snow-covered Seiser Alm. Enjoy the sunny hours on your cross-country skis and return to one of the farmed huts, which always offer a cozy stopover.
Skiing in Gröden valley Dreamlike slopes right next door
The Seiser Alm is connected to the Gröden valley and its ski area. Especially advanced skiers will be delighted here on the broad, technically demanding slopes. Via St. Ulrich, you can reach the wonderfully long descents of the Seceda, via Monte Pana you reach St. Christina and Wolkenstein – famous for its Men Worldcup downhill course “Sasslong”. Here is also the entrance to the “Sella Ronda”. A trip around the Sella Massif on 40 km is the dream of so many skiers – and you can make it true during the winter holiday on the Seiser Alm!
Magic in the Advent Visit the Christmas markets of our region
Perhaps you are planning your winter holiday in the Dolomites for Advent season? Then you will witness how the pre-Christmas mood transforms our region and lays itself like a spell over the snowy landscape. In Völs, Kastelruth and other places around the Seiser Alm romantic Christmas markets await your visit. With almond smell, delicious sweets and festive music, you can then also buy the one or the other gift for your loved ones, that only our traditional South Tyrolean craftsmanship can produce.
