Finnish and Bio sauna

Fit through life

If requested you can use our Finnish sauna daily.

Qualities and characteristics
Firstly:: a sauna needs a lot of water. To create steam the guests have to put the water onto the stones with a dipper. The water is kept in wooden buckets inside the sauna and can also be used to wet your skin. The water never contains any fragrances.

Secondly: You can only enter the sauna naked. If you want you can put a towel onto the benches to prevent the seat from damage. If you have noticed pictures where people in the sauna are covered by towels it is only a matter of respect for foreigners and has nothing to do with reality. Unfortunately we got to a point where even a family picture in the sauna has to be censored.

Because of the nudity rule men and women use the sauna separately (except the family sauna). If only one sauna is available men and women rotate; usually women go first as they need more time to fix their hair and make-up and because men stay in the steam longer.

The nudity in the sauna has a meaning. In a sauna everyone is equal and nobody has anything to hide. In Finland, for example, the sauna is part of official negotiations as it is the best place to find compromises.
